Streaming Capabilities

This is a connected amplifier with many streaming features. You can enjoy your music library wirelessly via Bluetooth, Chromecast (built-in) or Wi-Fi ax Dual Band, AirPlay 2, Ethernet with UPnP (DLNA) audio gateway feature. With direct access to Deezer, Qobuz, Spotify, Tidal and soon Amazon Music HD (firmware update coming soon), the webradios offer a multitude of audio sources. In addition, the Roon Ready certification comes via an update.

Connectivity

The Technics SU GX70 has a rich connectivity that accepts a number of physical sources. The exclusive Jeno (Jitter Elimination and Noise-Shaping Optimization) digital circuitry allows it to reduce the residual noise generated by the power supply circuitry is of course still relevant. The LAPC (Load Adaptive Phase Calibration) system allows the loudspeakers to display a fully linear "amplitude/frequency" curve and a wide coding capability.

Furthermore, SU-GX70 has two analog cinch line inputs and a four digital inputs (2 x optical, 1 x coaxial, 1 x UBS-B). With two high-level and three digital inputs and USB A and USB B connections, there are connectivity options for a wide range of music sources. Finally, Technics has also thought of the vinyl enthusiast and for that reason fitted a turntable input suitable for mm elements

The technologies obtained from the development of the SL-1200 series and the high-end SL-1000R model have been richly incorporated into the motor drive unit, a key component of the turntable. It tunes the cordless direct-drive motor with single rotor inherited from the SL-1200GR, to read the high rotational precision and high-precision signals of recording. Optimal motor bedding is performed for the inertial mass of the two-layer structural plate on which the vinyl plate is placed with dampening rubber on the entire surface of the backing to eliminate unwanted resonance in the aluminum casting plate to prevent irregular rotation, also called gearing. The aluminum casting chassis is tightly integrated with a special material consistency of ABS mixed with fiberglass to create a two-layer construction. The isolator consists of a spring and rubber to provide optimal, characteristic vibration damping. The tone arm has a universal S-shape with static balance, also a Technics tradition. By adopting a high-precision bearing using the same gimbal suspension design and housing as the SL-1200 series, high initial sensitivity is achieved. In addition, reliability has been improved by incorporating a removable power cord and gold-plated connectors, which reduce loss of sound quality for the PHONO and LINE jacks.

Inbuilt Phono equalizer and cartridge

To further enhance the enjoyment of analog record playback, the SL-1500C includes a built-in phono equalizer and cartridge. No need to prepare a separate equalizer, making it easy to combine with a wide variety of audio equipment. The shielded structure of the built-in phono equalizer suppresses the effects of external noise and power supply noise. It is also equipped with a switch to turn off the LINE output when not in use. The turntable is designed to eliminate unwanted effects from the PHONO output. The dedicated power supply for the PHONO output jack is isolated from the power supply for the LINE output jack and is designed to prioritize sound quality by minimizing wiring of the PHONO signal. The isolated outputs also prevent wiring errors. An Ortofon 2M RED cartridge, highly regarded as an MM cartridge, was chosen for the included cartridge. The combination of this high-quality cartridge with the performance of the SL-1500C will maximize the sound quality of vinyl records.

Equipped with an automatic lifter

Once the tone arm reaches the end of the record, the auto lifter function will automatically raise the cartridge. This prevents unnecessary wear and tear on your valuable vinyl records and needle. By integrating the auto lifter function into the base of the tone arm, effects on the tone arm are eliminated. Thanks to a simple design that uses no motor power, there is no electrical or vibration impact and the movement of the tone arm is not stopped. In response to many requests from many users regarding the auto lifter function, a design was chosen that prioritizes sound quality. The functions required to play records have been kept to a minimum, making the unit simple and user-friendly.
